Lisa is a member of the Massachusetts Bar and an Associate at the Law Office of Eileen D. Agnes. She practices both criminal and civil litigation with particular expertise in the areas of criminal defense, employment law, family law, and personal injury litigation. Lisa has extensive experience in all aspects of domestic relations practice, including pre-nuptial agreements, custody and paternity issues, divorce, legal separation, modifications, contempt and equity actions and guardianships. Whether in negotiations or at trial, Lisa pays particular attention to accurate analysis and valuation of the myriad of assets and financial interests often at stake in a divorce, whether they are business interests, various investments, stock options, or pension and profit sharing plans, and considers the tax consequences both of dividing assets and establishing support obligations. Lisa has developed a network of professionals with whom she works closely and who provide specialized assistance in these areas. Injured clients are aggressively pursued. Lisa has successfully represented plaintiffs in suits involving injuries suffered in construction accidents, automobile accidents, pedestrian accidents and industrial accidents. Many of her cases have settled without filing suit, avoiding the expense and emotional cost of extended litigation. Lisa has consistently obtained positive outcomes for her clients in the district and superior courts in cases involving restraining orders, assault and battery charges, operating under the influence actions (OUI), drug related crimes, theft offenses and motor vehicle offenses. Lisa has also been a bar advocate in Middlesex County for over six years. Lisa also has a strong business background including more than 13 years of experience in all aspects of management operations. She has represented clients who have been wrongfully terminated or laid off by their employers. She advises clients concerning their rights and has negotiated severance packages with employers and their counsel and has considerable experience in practice before the Massachusetts Commission Against Discrimination (MCAD). Lisa graduated in the top tier of her class at the Massachusetts School of Law where she obtained her Juris Doctor Degree. She is also a top graduate of the State University of New York at Buffalo where she acquired a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration with minors in Human Resource Management and Labor Relations. Prior to her current employment, Lisa was a clerk in the Law Offices of Eileen D. Agnes assisting in the pre-trial of both criminal and civil litigation matters. Moreover, Lisa was part of the five percent (5%) of the Massachusetts School of Law student body selected by the faculty to perform judicial clerkships. She clerked for Hon. Michael T. Stella, Jr., Hon. Barbara Savitt Pearson, Hon. Ellen Flatley and many other Massachusetts State Justices. Lisa was also selected by the faculty to join the Law Review and elected by her class to hold a representative position on the Student Bar Association. She presently serves as an Officer and is on the Executive Board for the South Middlesex Bar Association.
